Architects asensio_mah and J.M.Aguirre Aldazdid did some amazing work with the Q House in North of Spain. The jet black facade is made customized with digital fabrication techniques, composite panels and make this home appear quite mysterious and somewhat scary, compared to the design of the surrounding villas. The contemporary home is oriented mainly in a northeast-southwest direction for optimised use of sunlight. Q House is organized in three bands around a central core: each band configures different rooms while the circullation core has a changeable direction through the house’s different levels. Looking at this minimalist house, we may assume that Q stands for “Quite amazing”.
